01 Jul Exciting Announcement – Illawonga Camp
Illawonga Camp was built in the 1980s and was initially built to house the 1984 Australian Olympic Gymnastics team as they trained ready for competition.
After this time, the facility was converted into a school camp and has been in operation for approximately 30 years.
It is with great excitement that Adventures Beyond Group announces that we are adding Illawonga Camp to our portfolio of camps as of July 2023.
The camp will undertake renovations and commence camps again in October 2023.
The camp has dorm rooms, a dining hall, and a recreation room. The land includes 600-metres of exclusive riverfront access, and 1800 acres of Malle Scrub, home to Hariy Nosed Wombats and with an amazing sculpture trail.
This acquisition will offer Adventures Beyond Group 3 outdoor education facilities under management, and the ability to work with schools on sequential camps with amazing outdoor learning outcomes.
